Dr. Wayne Chasteen

Dr. Wayne Chasteen has a heart for Christ and leads with the desire to see God's will accomplished through Christ First Church in such a way that it spills outside our church walls and impacts the community and beyond.

A gifted vocalist, lyricist, and musician, Wayne is the founder of the music ministry, Rhyme and Reason, who toured globally taking southern inspirational, and contemporary praise and worship music, as well as an evangelistic message to the masses.

In 2012, God called him to redirect his ministry efforts and open the doors of Christ First Church. Since that time, we’ve seen God move in amazing ways with a vision of church life that continues to grow.

Wayne and his wife Cathy have been married for 39 years with family ties to the area.
